  the saddest story ever told.

  despite being childhood sweethearts, in the year 1941 they decided to postpone marriage and remain single and childless in this system so as to put the the theocracy first, albeit under the control of the watch tower society.. in the final pages of the children book john and eunice walk silently through the fields and stop by a great tree on the river bank where they had sometime before discussed their future plans.

  the young lovers seat themselves down and look over the landscape.

  i was contacted by the witnesses in1965, baptized in that same year at age 15. i was appointed an elder in 1975 and served as an elder for 20 years..

  it hasnt been long since i learn ttatt and when i totally woke up.

  Thanks for all the responses. Very sound advice.

  The take your time option is a good idea. A slow fade would be a good idea i think.

  I think forming my own opinions and theory's regarding where the WT is going with certain doctrines and being able to voice them here will be good for me. I hope my posting won't annoy any of you, as it might seem a bit "out there".

  while that reaction makes perfect sense in the real world, in wt land it doesn't add up.

  The cult is too complex for it not to be purposeful deception. When GB 3.0 take over, then it won't be purposeful deception anymore, it will really be blind leading the blind. That is not the case right now. The very clear sighted GB are leading the blind.

  Christ, my mind feels f***ed. There is so many layers of indoctrination and rules and regulations in this, whatever this is (Religion? Cult?), its taking so long to process everything. The "what ifs" grate at me the most. 

  Right now i'm going to either ditch it all at once, and lose everything i love, or stick with it and have a strategy.

  What I Saw & Heard in the Oral Argument Hearing on January 14, 2015

  im not an attorney and i could not record the hearing, so please forgive me if i make mistakes in relating what i remember of the oral argument hearing for jane doe (i.e., candace conti) versus the watchtower bible & tract society on january 14, 2015 and the length of this post.. i arrived at the civic center/union plaza in san francisco, ca about 7:30. the area is very nice with a few homeless people sleeping in the park across from the courthouse.

  it took me about 10 minutes to find the clerks office for the court on the first floor, which opened at 8:00.. once the clerks office opened, the two clerks who i talked with were very polite and helpful.

  the arguments for jane doe (i.e., candace conti) versus the watchtower bible & tract society were scheduled 5th out of (i think) 8. while i was in the office a cameraman and another person for nbc arrived asking about the hearing for candace contis case.. the courtroom for the 1st appellate court is on the 4th floor and takes up most of that floor.

  New WTS end date - 2034?

  so i already made an introductory thread where i said hello and mentioned my feelings toward 2034 being the wts new end date.. we get the year 2034 from matt 24:37 & luke 17:26. the wt commented on the "days of noah" in a qfr article 2010 12/15.

  where its stated: "it is logical, therefore, to conclude that genesis 6:3 expresses gods resolve to end the corrupt system of things on earth.

  jehovah issued a judicial decree to do so in 120 years, though noah was not yet aware of that.

  When does "soon" actually become "not so soon". Its been "soon" for 130 + years ffs

  I also think they will downplay 144,000 teaching in the run up to 2034, starting first with with the removal of "partakers" from the year book in the next 5-7 years. Then after 2034 "nu lite" about 144,000 being symbolic.

  Heck, they might even start teaching Jesus was a symbolic character, the gospels being one big metaphor. The way the WTS talk about him now is not far from that idea...

  And yes, this would sound quite mad if an outsider is looking in is reading this, but those of us that are "inn", realize crazy ideas like these in JW land are not as crazy as they sound.

  The year 2034 is calculated from 1914 (WT belief of the beginning of Christs presence) + 120 years mentioned in the article above.
  Every time these two scriptures are quoted in the WT from now on, i am going to come back to this thread and post my observations regarding the subject matter which these two scriptures are inserted.
  Perhaps this is a bit overkill if not slightly obsessive to do this. But I truly feel all other Doctrines and beliefs could be tied up to this date in 20 years time, without them ever actually mentioning the date. Without mentioning the date specifically will allow them to mess around with 1914 to potentially 1934 only after 2034 has come and gone. It allows them to mess around with the Generation teaching also; How they will, remains to be seen.
  I would love to hear what you all have to say on the subject.

  This is a very tough situation, and every time i write a response, it sounds almost cocky and arrogant, so i delete it. So please don't take it that way. Its just my 2 cents.

  Maybe go back, and say you found your faith and repent? But make them realize you are a busy person. Your dads an elder, so he would be more than happy to pull a few strings i would have thought.

  That reply sounds so pretentious. God.

  Playing devils advocate here, but perhaps re-in-statement then fade could be an option? "technically" your in, and it sounds like your parents like technicalities...Don't know if this idea is endorsed on this site.
